Description

No, this isn't about admitting to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.

It's about trying to ride to Three Floyds every month this year. Now there's a consistent schedule -- the 4th Saturday of every month -- others have opportunities to lead (I can't make it every time), and you can qualify for the F-12 Award.

The ride takes the lakefront trail south from the Clock Tower. You can join up anywhere along the trail. Just let the group know where so they can look for you.

45 miles total if you take the Metra back, 70 if you ride both ways. 16-19 mph. I like to get there before they open at noon (it's the third-best brewery in the world, so sometimes there's a line). Bring money, government-issued ID, a lock, water and snacks to have en route, and panniers for beer you can't get in Chicago.

Online resources: Google map, cue sheet, Metra schedule, Metra rules, and, to save a minute at the start, the nifty online CCC waiver.

I logged 58 miles on mapmyride from 31st street beach departure to Adams & State arrival. And thanks Ifi Susana for getting me from 95th to 71st. I ran out of gas there toward the end and the wind was kicking me while I was down. Great ride everyone.

Great ride guys! A few mishaps but I think we all made it home! For those that rode there and back, how much mileage did you get? Both my Strava and Cat Eye gave me quite different estimates...

My friend, Kevin will be meeting up at 31st, so please look out for him!

i'd consider riding back. it might be a stretch for me, since i'm just getting back on the bike. 20 mi. to the red line @ 95th would be a nice in-between option.

Bob, thanks for the update. I'll relay the message to the friend.

I am thinking of riding back. But could be easily swayed by the pint.
