Learn everything you need to get out and conquer the not-always-mean streets of Chicago on your bike!
This workshop is designed for those who have the means to bike in the city of Chicago, meaning it would probably be best if you already owned a bike, but it isn't explicitly necessary.
I'm hoping those who attend this workshop will walk (or ride..) away from it having learned more about bike safety in an urban context, had their confidence in their ability to tackle what we all encounter every day on the road as commuters and recreational riders boosted, and will also have learned how to make sure their bike is as road-ready as possible through basic bike maintenance tips. There will be panel discussions and breakout sessions for different parts of the workshop.
As far as incentives... well, you know, bike gear giveaways, free food and drinks, and a chance to meet and learn from other cyclists (maybe even some Pink Floyd fans will be in attendance..??) You might take home with you exactly what you need to get going!
I'll post responses to questions and further event details (parking and other logistics) here as the date of the event draws closer. Please email me or message me via the Chainlink with event questions or to RSVP.
All other details on the big flyer posted here, take a look and hope to see you on May 19th! This event is presented in part by the Chicago Conservation Corps.
