Our New Chrome Forged Rubber™ Sneakers are made the same way army boots were made 70 years ago, one at a time, by hand. The process uses: 70-year-old DESMA machines that we salvaged from a basement in Slovakia, virgin rubber, 12 oz. canvas uppers (the same grade used to make fire hoses), pressure, and heat – the rubber sole is fused to the upper at 300 degrees.
