Description

Last Fridays, leaves after 6pm.

THE monthly gathering of bicyclists making their presence known downtown since 1997. Slowly winds a dozen miles or more. Radically inclusive, thousands attend in good weather.

Daley Plaza, 50 W Washington. Under the Picasso (giant rusty bird), at Dearborn, SW of State&Lake train stop, Randolph exit from LFT.

They've got a decent beer tap (3F's Gumball Head on draft). I'll be the tall dude wearing a red biking jacket at the bar.

If you are, meet up at Western/Archer around 1630 hours (4:30pm for the civvies). We can take an easy ride down Archer to Halsted to Washington, and pick up anyone else that wants to go along on that route to The Plaza.

I will be the Dude with the tan helmet and blue knobby tires, on a black and silver Schwinn Frontier. Probably wearing a green jacket with a MLD patch on my left arm.

Weather now forecasts 46F sunny 6NE at 6pm, 38F clear 4E at 11pm.
Nobody's got a map.

Best event I'm finding Friday evening as a drinking / eye candy destination option is the Foxy Goat Lisa Memorial Fundraiser Bakesale at 3058 W. Irving Pk. I'm pretty certainly heading there at end of mass, regardless of where mass ends, and plan to print some flyers for it.

And Aaron and crew I think sometimes gather at a Lakeview bar first.
