Recently found cycling again after a few (okay several) year hiatus. Running was taking much from my knees and never gave back the rush that peddling around town did. While researching new bikes this past spring, a site for fixed gears became somewhat of an obsession. In the simplicity, a newfound comfort; in the minimal nature, vastly appealing.
My cycling had been mostly rural areas. Lately the more urban areas are far more appealing. I hope to attend a couple of CCM this summer as well as take in a few other rides in the city.
I work as an architectural designer/draftsperson and attend class, pursuing a degree in architecture. Additionally, I enjoy riding motorcycles on and off road (currently a '99 Ducati Monster), working on various projects from construction/remodeling to wrenching on bikes, and have a background in various aspects of metal working.
