Description

We're hosting the usual Monday night training ride in the morning for Labor Day. This training ride will give folks an opportunity to practice group riding skills at a 16-20 miles an hour pace. We estimate that we'll ride for a couple of hours, so we can be home to enjoy the rest of the holiday.

Bummed I had to miss the ride.  I had to take my son to football practice as his rides fell through.  I hope I can catch another.  It was a perfect morning for the ride!

Domenica, there will be a ride Monday morning.  Low commitment to attend on this thread isn't much of an indicator.  Come out and enjoy the ride experience.

Are there enough attending to call it a group ride?

I won't be joining the ride, after all, because I got doored and got a separated shoulder.  ouch!  Gerry agreed to lead the ride without me.  Read over comments in the Monday night CCC training ride thread, we helped a number of new group riders learn the skills.  This is a really nice group of cyclists and a good place to learn.  Monday's ride will probably be a smaller number than usual.  If you have a road bike and you can ride at least 16 MPH by yourself, then I think you should try this ride.

I have never done group riding but always wanted to.  I don't because I fear I will mess up the group with a mistake.  I know how riders don't like to be held back or held up.  Would this be a good one to try?

You are encouraged to ride a road bike.  Be self sufficient by bringing a spare tube, CO2 tire inflator or pump with you.
