Hi folks,

I’m having a book release party this Thursday, Sept. 16. It’s a shindig to celebrate the release of my new guidebooks: Camping Illinois, Best Rail Trails Illinois, Road Biking Illinois, and Easy Hikes Close to Home: Chicago.

If you come to the party, I'll share with you some of my adventures while researching the books: being under siege by a mob of ferocious chipmunks, enduring multiple bouts of poison ivy, and suffering through lots of stale trail mix. OK, I guess the experience wasn't all that bad. ;-}

I’ll have refreshments and snacks on hand at the party, as well as copies of the new books for sale and signing. You can learn more about each of the books on my website: www.tedvillaire.com.

A portion of the sales for books sold at the event will go to a great local nonprofit called Chicago Voyagers, which brings local children from low-income families on hiking, biking and canoeing trips. Find out more at www.chicagovoyagers.org.
