Join British Bicycles of Chicago to celebrate the 411th anniversary of the foiling of the Gunpowder Plot. How? By spiffing ourselves up, riding our bikes, and having a bonfire.

We will meander from Bridgeport to the Loop, pausing at The Billy Goat Tavern to refresh ourselves and chat. Then we'll navigate south via the Lake Shore Path to Hyde Park for a brief stop at Jimmy's then north again to Bernice's. This wonderful autumn bummel will cap off with a roaring bonfire at Bubbly Dynamics, thanks to Mr. Owen Lloyd.

One of the best loved BBC rides, it promises a scenic route, great riding companions, snappy dressers and a fire hot enough to melt glass.

This year we are introducing the Effigy Contest! While top points will go to those who best capture the joy of toasting Papists, we certainly will appreciate the submission of other subjects including those of a more orangey hue. And NO SIZE LIMIT!
