Alley Cat Film Seeks Participants - Local independent film The Alley Cat seeks bike messengers to be in their alley cat race scenes and track stand race scene. They also need cyclists to come out for a ghost bike scene. All shoots take place overnight on location.
Anyone Spot the Improvement to the Google Bicycling Map Engine? It's a big help when planning a route in urban areas.
Congratulations to our daily Name That Bike Rack winners - Andrew N, nik was here, magomawe, Steve Vance, Jared, Dubi Kaufmann, and Juan all won New Belgium swag as part of a week-long contest naming the location of local bike racks leading up to Tour de Fat.

We are looking for 4 volunteers for our table at Tour de Fat tomorrow from 9-4 PM. You choose the 1-2 hour shift. NOTE: our tables should serve the same purpose as the site. Pretty. Fast. Women's Meet & Greet - Meet other female riders and racers in a friendly, low-key environment. Great for seasoned cyclists as well as newbies. There will be raffles/giveaways including a Chainlink shirt.
Tour de Fat - Join us in Palmer Square (Kedzie and Palmer) for a full day of scheduled events and beer from New Belgium. Beer sales benefit West Town Bikes. We can't wait to see those amazing Racketters, Mucca Pazza and more. This event is ubber family friendly. Don't forget to visit The Chainlink's table to pick up special tattoos, bookmarks, pens and more!
Major Trail Ride - Join Friends of The Major Trail for a casual trail ride on Sunday afternoon.
Chainlink Biking Semester: Protecting Your Bike - We are partnering with Next Door to bring you a summer full of uber-useful biking education! Get the basics on how not to get your bike stolen and learn more about what you can do if it does get stolen. All taught by your neighborhood bro, Chainlinker Paul.
