If you are up for a supported bike camping trip, this event in June might be a good option - they have lots of beer, a band, a campground, etc. And all you have to do is ride your bike and have fun.
Shabbona Woods in South Holland has a new camp ground. We're thinking of riding there this weekend.

There is an interesting country bike rally in MSP this coming weekend,

For what it's worth, I've made other plans - the pierogis will have to wait until next year.
...on the other hand, Indiana Dunes is just over 30 miles from Whiting, so we could use PierogiFest as a stop over on the way there and the way back.

RAGBRAI runs 7/20 through 7/26, so there is a conflict for those that are doing that.

I'm pretty open for the entire summer; I think the trick is making reservations, and planning.
