What brings you to The Chainlink?: I saw an article about a biker getting arrested and saw a reference to this site. I would like to be more aware of things going on in the biking community.

About me:: I have been living in Chicago for 6 years and I use to commute by train or bus to work every day. My company participates in Bike to Work week every year and I decided to give it a try, even though the thought of biking in the city terrified me. Now I bike year round (as long as there is no snow). It's the fastest, cheapest and healthiest way to commute. My agency won the Bike to Work Week challenge 3 years in a row!

I am a graduate of Purdue University and work at an Advertising Agency. My hobbies include cooking challenging recipes, working out, cheering on the Cubs, traveling, hanging at the beach and watching all the oscar-nominated movies.

My first bike:: Besides my childhood bikes, I am still riding the first one I bought as an adult in 1997. It's a Trek mountain bike and weighs about 30 pounds. I love Comrade Cycle shop at Chicago and Wolcott.
