What brings you to The Chainlink?: I am looking to connect with others in Chicago for non-competitive group rides and for longer distance bike touring/camping rides. I have done several trips from Chicago to Wisconsin and to Indiana but looking to do some longer trips.

About me:: My day job is heading up marketing and communications in the higher education space but biking is my peace of mind. I have been commuting to work on a bike for over 25 years and have more recently been getting into bike touring and bike camping. I ride a Surly Ogre with 2.5 tires and I carry four panniers when touring. I’m not particularly fast but I eventually get there. I live in a high rise in the loop but love to get out of the city on longer rides. Love to connect with others who have similar passions.

My first bike:: I’m not sure of the brand, probably a Huffy or Schwin but it had a banana seat and I think a gear shift on the main cross bar.
