The Chainlink is a Chicago area cycling centric social forum. It is one more facet to Chicago's attraction as a cycling friendly city.
About me:
I've been cycling for almost forty years. I'm now an avid road rider, accumulating about 100 miles per week from May through September. This usually includes four or five organized century rides in Illinois and Wisconsin. In the Fall and early Spring I'm inclined to take to the local trails.
I conduct most of my own maintenance and have written a comprehensive paper on road-bike fit.

I wrote this article after conducting a lot of of research prior to purchasing my last road bike. This is a fairly comprehensive article that attempts to provide one with sufficient insight to confidently purchase a bike or frame on spec., from either ebay or another online vendor.

The 2009 Door County Century Met Expectations

This year's Door County Century ride was held Sunday September 13th. This annual ride starts from Sevastopol High School in Institute, Wisconsin, and provides a coast-to-coast scenic tour of Wisconsin's beautiful Door County Peninsula.
