"Yep. Cops were out this morning at every access point keeping people off or kicking people off the trail. My 45 minute commute took 1h 15min by streets instead."

Brian S replied to Jim Reho's discussion E-bikes taking the lead in bikeshare

Brian S replied to Jim Reho's discussion E-bikes taking the lead in bikeshare
"So I was riding my e-bike on LFT a few days ago, and came upon a guy who was doing sprints at 30mph, all legs. I'd eventually catch back up to him, because that's not sustainable. But I was definitely impressed. That being said, I have…"

Steve A replied to Brian S's discussion When will the Trail Separation project be completed?
" I’m not sure anyone is still reading this forum, but I’ll go ahead and weigh in since I am a witness to the crash.  Both Mark and Bob have made it clear  but the rider was not trying to pass anyone, but swerved off the…"

Brian S replied to Yasmeen's discussion What's this doing in the bike lane?
"32 E 18th St Literally cut me off to get around stopped traffic, by using the bike lane as a slip lane. I was not able to safely stop in time to avoid rear-ending her vehicle. Just barely bumped her, enough to leave a black rubber scuff on her white…"

Mark replied to Brian S's discussion When will the Trail Separation project be completed?
"I was not trying to compare the situations.  It was a jogger that passed me on the left making contact with me on a blind curve.  It was a dangerous move that should never have happened.  Fortunately, there was no oncoming traffic."

"FYI, the barrels are gone now. Next someone will ride into a tree and we'll clamor to get them back. The perfect compromise: wraps the trees like goalposts."

bobweiser replied to Brian S's discussion When will the Trail Separation project be completed?
"i think there's been a misunderstanding here. mark said "attempted to pass", but the rider was attempting to avoid rear-ending the rider in front of him, who was slowing down, because of that jogger in the cycle section. i reacted to…"

David P. replied to Brian S's discussion When will the Trail Separation project be completed?
"Cyclists on places like the LFP seem much more unaware, as a group, than drivers that it is incumbent on the person making a pass to do so safely, and to *not* do so until they can do so safely. "

"I was on legit side of bike trail. Guy cyclist was riding too fast also. He went on my lane and almost crashed on to me. I was here: https://goo.gl/maps/VVuLUA32RbCfTtdV6"
