Supplies(from left to right):
-The Mini-Marshall Stack (music store $10)
-velcro cable leash (music store)
-1/4 inch guitar cable (short)
-1/4 inch-to-mini plug adapter
-mini-plug female-to-female adaptor (optional?)
-male-to-male mini plug cable (to MP3 player)

This is one possible configuration. A male-to-female mini-plug cable (standard to all MP3 players) eliminates the need for the last part, and is more acceptible to ultra-conservative partisans.

Yes. I lost my power/overdrive knob. Don't make that filthy. Somewhere during the January CCM-N. REWARD! This amp is a guitar practice-amp, but there are many various brands available. It produces a blaring sound lovingly reminicent of a 1974 AM radio on North Avenue Beach. Forget the overdrive setting, Hendrix. Go for the clean setting a la Joe Pass.

Want more gusto? More bass? Pump up the volume? Karaoke? Sampling digital-delay like your ol' pal bk? Those features come with the cost of more weight and less stash-ability.

My rig in that pic that where Spongebob is my co-pilot? That is a Crate Taxi Amp. Cranks. Runs for hours. Multiple 1/4inch inputs, parametric EQ and an on-board, re-chargeable sealed marine-type battery. This is the bikeable, backpackable street-performers choice. Rock on party people!!!

Note: All these rigs provide MONO sound only. Sorry. You and your fancy-schmancy Hi-Fi Stereo sound and your Technicolor whozits will need TWO amps! Oy! These kids today.

Batteries not included.

Objects in mirror may be closer than they appear.

Keep hope alive.

I love you all.

I prefer the right-angle mini-plug and 1/4 guitar cables, as shown. They do not stick out as much.

How embarassing!... No sooner had I posted this and CCM Jan. 2012 rolled to the Polkaholics? Halfway along... the dang rig developed an intermittant short. Such is the drawback of pocketing the MP3 player to keep the batteries warm. The jostling and whutnot must have vexed the wires.

Lately I went back to putting the player in a big-ass mountaineering mitten inside the on-board bike bag... and just pocketing extra rechargeable batteries. Turns out? Batteries like it warm.

Peace and chain grease! -bk
