(X-posting from http://thechainlink.org/group/criticalmassdiscussion)
Wanna see something amazing?
Plot of the past 25 months of Chicago Critical Mass.

This is fairly preliminary, but I triple-checked details and it seems good enough. Go, poke around.

It's far wandering, radically inclusive, and kid compatible.

I've written a short article covering the backstory on this.

Mentioning just in case, be clear the point is not just the one image above, but the actual interactive live version online at http://massup.us/ccm/r?k=730&q=pd
This is of course rides recorded using the MassUp.us WebApp, as opposed to planned routes (which I also have, but not all on massup).
No easy feat, this is the distillation of literally hundreds of hours of work.
There're many good observations possible, like uncovered areas, and distance/time/speed metrics.  I plan to write an article covering details later.
Just finished cleaning up some data, North Side Mass 25 months plot it now also available.

Well, that puts to rest the notion that the Mass always goes through Wicker Park.

May I humbly suggest Little Village and Lakeshore East routes in the future? IIRC, one of the few wedding proposals on CCM took place at LSE.
