On the road from Seattle to San Francisco, somewhere in Oregon. The barn is advertising an elixir, 'for weak women.'

Wait. Really? A support van? Are you joking? That IS for weak women! Everything on my bike is what we lived with. My partner had a bike similarly loaded, with back panniers only. We compensated by not having cooking equipment with us... just basic folding bowls and plates (that we bought along the way) and pretty portable foods. We ate a big lunch or dinner out every other day or so. We definitely rode faster than folks we met who had fully loaded bikes. On those 4-5 mile uphills, it was totally worth it. Total trip, 1081 miles: 21 days.

Wow that is an amazing ride.  How long did that take you?  Did you camp out after each ride/day?  Did you have a support van followed you?
