I always loved this building and tried to buy Lakewood fans exclusively, but they became harder and harder to find. Sucks when Walgreens, basically a local company, won't carry Chicago products.
It still said "Lakewood" as recently as a year ago.

Hmmm. Looks like Sunbeam bought the brand as they still have a website up and it all leads to Sunbeam stuff.

Now what kind of awful large retailed would do such a thing?

Driven out of business by a certain large retailer that bought 80% of their output until they demanded huge price cuts, which they could not do. Hundreds of jobs gone.

Formerly Lakewood Industries (among other things) - now available! Great aluminum cap on the tower combined with the glass block windows.
