The Chainlink

Well here is my Ghostrider, bought new in 2005. I have riden it nearly every day since. Considering I live in Chicago the bike has held up quite well. Over the years it has gone through many differing modifications, but the pic is it as it sits today. Needs a bath and a paint job, one will come as soon as the snow and salt go away, no point in doing it now, the second will be in September. Planning flat black with candy read pin-striping. YES I ride all winter and since I do not and have not owned a car since 1995, this bike is my main and only set of wheels.
Wheels
Rear Hub-Sturmey Archer 8 drum
Front Hub-Sturmey Archer Dyno drum
I went with these because of their beefy look and the reliability of the drum break in all weather conditions
The Rims are stock and laced in a 3 over pattern because of its sturdy nature, riding in a major city means hitting curbs harder and more often than I like.
Tires are Felt Thick Brick whitewalls with all the branding removed
Lights
B&M Retro LED headlight and a B&M securelight LED Taillight
Knog LED flashers on each of the front forks as well as a Knog LED rear flasher on the back of the rack. The Knog's keep me visible, and the B&M's help me see.
Fenders
Nirve Streetsweepers with skirts cut off and added from the Nirve Skirted fenders
fender braces are 1/8 steel stock rods cut and bent to shape, the hardware on the fenders is all Honjo gear excepting for the fork braces on the front fender these are nickel u-bolts cut short, sane u-bolt holds my brake bar in place on the front hub.
Etc.
3g Maltese Cross Pedals
Electra TT bars
Public Bikes black leather ergo grips
Chrome computer cable sleeves cover all wiring
Felt Coffee cup holded
Sturmey Archer Break levers
Heavy duty bipod kickstand from Crow Cycles
Iberia stem mounted cell/gps case
Brooks B-190
For my Daughter I added a removable Child seat, GMG911 and a Yepp Easy-mount riser/adapter
