Thanks David.  The Billy Goat is an EXCELLENT destination!

I have never ridden the Perimeter Ride before, but I heard tell that the route usually crosses some public transportation stations that allow an easy early "bail" if one wants.  I know I will be watching that closely! :-)

Yes, Vic--the goal is to end the ride at midnight at The Billy Goat Tavern beneath Michigan Avenue in order to join The Midnight Marauders for phase II--drinking and riding until dawn. (Phase II is optional)

Woo hoo! Can't wait. Was hoping to make one of the prerides, but I'm not going to be able to swing those.

David, where does the ride end (back at Buckingham Fountain or someplace else?), and could you please estimate the time we might get back there?  Thanks.

Should probably hit it earlyish--around 9 or so? Leave from the Fountain?

Sorry, Vic--I meant to have a formal event page up this weekend, but my computer at home lost internet connectivity and I can't do much on Chainlink over my phone.

I'm going to lead a Perimeter Ride on the 20th and I'll be doing a preride this weekend and then the weekend before the ride. If a couple of people who really want Perimeter Ride to happen on the 27th also would like to come out for the prerides so they can lead with confidence on the 2th, then everybody will be happy.

The ride will leave from Buckingham Fountain in the morning again, though the route will have to be slightly altered this year due to some construction--more on that to follow prerides. I'm open to alternative routes besides Touhy--my least favorite part of the ride--but up until now we haven't seen a better way.

David (or somebody) - I'm sorry, but I'm still kind of confused. Maybe it's just me, but is the date of this year's CPR definitely the 20th, or the 27th, or are there going to be two different rides, or what?  Also, could you (or someone) spell out the location and time of departure, and location and (estimated) time it finishes?  One final question...does it still come across the Northern suburbs on Touhy, or has that changed?  Sorry to be so clueless, and many thanks!

Here's my thought, Norah--I'll lead one on the 20th, but someone who really really wants it to be the 27th should come with on a pre-ride this weekend and then they can lead one on the 27th with confidence. You in?
