Thank you both, Marcus and Melissa - I bit the bullet and ordered this bag today. I need something to bring it into my current work building that completely covers it - bikes - even folding ones - are not allowed inside. :\
Hey Sarah,
While I would only suggest the very cheap blue Ikea bag (not sure if they're still available), my other thought is ask the question to the avid Brompton riders group on Yahoo Groups.
Hey Brompton people! I'm looking for a transport bag for my bike that isn't super expensive. I have the IKEA DIMPA clear bag, but would prefer something not so see-through. So a) Is anyone selling a bag used? and b) if you have leads on an aftermarket bag you've used and recommend, please let me know!
Saturday Botanic Garden Ride! (weather permitting)
Let's meet at the compass on the head of the North Shore Channel Trail(near Lawrence & Foster) at 10am. It's a hair over 16 miles each way, so if you want to ride the Metra back, bring some cash.
Google Maps route is here:

So far, it's Sera and I, but anyone is welcome to join!
Who's up for a Brompton Ride in September?
There were at least seven B riders on the August Critical Mass ride last night.
I'm organizing a ride to the Botanic Gardens in Glencoe on May 27. Departure from Chicago around 10am. Ride trails up there and have a picnic lunch. There will be time to enjoy the gardens before taking a different route back closer to the lake.
If you are in town, it will be a great warmup before Bike the Drive the next day.
Sarah did a great review for The Chainlink:
