Velo Yoga

We are the ones that bike to the yoga studio with our yoga mats slung over our backs. We put our helmets next to our mats while we practice yoga. Then we get back on our bikes.

I need to join this.
I bike from downtown to Bikram Yoga in Wicker Park; then home
to the ghetto (Humboldt Park).

Yoga rocks !

A change of clothes huh? Hmmm! I will have to find some sort of winter routine as I leave the studio on my bike all sweaty.

Yeah, it's funny that I actually go to Bikram a lot more in the summer than winter. I end up having to bring a change of clothes. There's a yoga by the lake class on the north end of the Belmont harbor opening twice a week offered through my gym--I'll look into it.

Starting my third month of Bikram yoga. I am loving it but I dont know if I can do it during the colder months because of the sweat still on my body as I leave the studio.

I go to Om on the Range on Ravenswood north of Addison. www.omontherange.net. They specialize in Bikram and heated Vinyasa, so it's not for everyone, but I love it! For first-timers, I would recommend on of their Vinyasa basics classes. Check the calendar on their website for exact dates, but I think they have them about twice a month. I do Bikram much more than Vinyasa and a first-timer would probably be fine dropping in on any old Bikram class, as the pace is slow.
