Is the Unicyclist group still active?

Paul, I got back into unicycling a couple of years ago.  I'm riding a 26" unicycle.  Do you still ride and is the group still active?  Thanks.Continue

Convenient Time for a Ride? 2 Replies

Long rides are fun, but for those of you who are learning, sometimes my friend and I just roll around in a parking lot to learn tricks or improve our skills generally.  This would be a great time for…Continue

No worries on missing it, we'll have more rides soon. Thanks Allen Wrench for bring all the unicycles; that was my first time on a six-footer! Really cool but kinda scary! Everyone feel free to suggest dates/times for the next ride. Next weekend is busy for me, but other than that Sundays are usually open. Do Sundays generally work for others?

so sorry i screwed that one up. i had all intentions of going but was completely absorbed in painting the trim and casings in my apartment. i know the area behind Clememte. i wish i was more advanced to take full advantage of the obstacles. i would often see skateboarders and bmx there.

my ability level still requires me to hold on to something as i start, not sure if that is an amenity there.

keep me posted on the next one. again...sorry i missed it.

Well, it was darkish and drizzly but it is a pretty good place to ride around and around. Nice ramps and a place to get out of the rain too. We doodled around with a bunch of different sized unicycles and a 6 foot giraffe. 3 grown ups and 2 kids. Maybe UIC next time, maybe Clemente again.

Ok, the first official Chainlink Unicyclists Ride is here!
The details:

Sunday, November 14
4:30 pm
Clemente Roberto High School
1147 North Western Avenue

Let's meet in back of the school (on the east side). We'll probably just stick around there; there is a really nice courtyard area on the east side of the school, along with some stairs and other fun obstacles. If I remember correctly, there is also a ledge of nice grabbing-height for those that are still learning. We can also go for a ride around the neighborhood if people are up for it.

My number is (312) 451-9269. Feel free to call me with any questions.
