Hi... new to Chicago, and am working of finding a real job (accounting/audit) but would also consider any kind of odd jobs in the mean time. I don't have any special skills or talents, but am open to pretty much anything that you think a fast learner might be able to handle.

I have a courier position opening up in a few weeks. This is for a very sought after position at Bari Foods; only the best will be considered. 9:30 to 2:00 Monday - Friday. $300-$400 a week. Please do not respond unless you meet all of the following criteria, you must:
1. Currently be employed as a courier in Chicago
2. Be one of the top earners at your company
3. Own more than one bicycle
4. Do most or all your own bicycle repairs
5. Own a cell phone

Bonus points for those of you who have places in road racing sanctioned or ally cat.

Please submit with your response:
1. The name and phone# of your last two dispatchers
2. Your full name, email and phone #

I will not respond to those people who do not provide all the info that is requested above.

This is a tightly nit, family run business, so please understand that I cannot just hire any messenger willy nilly. I will be trying out prospective couriers on mondays starting on the 27th.

Brent and I are looking for occasional help with various projects we never get to, if you are interested and any of the following:
- handy (we can't seem to figure out/have time to learn the real way to hang hooks in 1920 plaster and lathe, for example)
- bike-mechanicky
- experienced with pet-care (walking 150 lbs of dog, or vacation cat-care)
- interested in doing marketing/publicity for 3 small businesses (alot of which could be done from home or by bike)
- assistant on professional gardening gigs
- painting
There is about a day's worth of work every two weeks or so. If anyone is interested, pls email me at rachfriend at yahoo.
Thanks, Rachel
