I am on the hunt for front forks for my 73 Schwinn Twinn...

I'm looking for a heavy duty rear wheel for our tandem: 130mm spacing, 700c, 8-10sp shimano compatible.

Thanks!

Kevin

My girlfriend and I have owned this Tango 7 for years. We really enjoy it.

I'm sure you all, out of anyone out there, have keen eyes for tandems around the city. I just had mine stolen this morning. My wife is devastated, and I feel pretty crappy myself. It was locked up to a bike rack downtown (Michigan and Van Buren) at 7:30 am, and when we got back to it at 10 am, it was gone. Nothing was left behind, so I have no idea if the lock (kryptonite u-lock and braided cable) was defeated or if I somehow pulled the key out of the lock before it was fully engaged (facepalm).

Take-home message: If you see a red Cannondale RT3000 out there, send me a personal message. It's in near mint condition---only a couple minor scratches near the drive-train. It has a black rack on the back, and the front seat is a Selle SMP that is easy to notice because it curves down in the front rather steeply and looks kinda like it's broken (it's not). Thanks in advance, everyone.

I want to have a cluster (gaggle? pride? clan?) of tandems lead next Friday's's critical mass ride-- who's in?

Thanks folks.
It was on the head tube to the right and slightly below the head badge.
because of the tight space in my garage I never looked from just that angle last night.
So, does anyone have any familiarity with Schwinn serial number convention?
Which of he following seems more likely:

L8095679
-or-
LG095679

Thanks!

Howard, look for your serial # to the left or right bottom of the schwinn badge or near the drop outs of the rear wheel. Also, some times its a pain to read cause the # will be filled with paint...

Wanted to register my Twinn with the city but couldn't find the serial number. It wasn't on either bottom bracket. Anyone know where I should look?

Who's up for a Tandem crew on the July 30 Critical Mass?
