With the explosion of Iowa craft brewing in recent years, after 13 years on this blasted ride I might finally be able to get beer better than Bud/Miller swill.

I have to say, last time That Guy rode, full entourage and 3 camera vehicles, it was damn dangerous to be on the road when that train went storming through.  Add to that spectacle every idiot stomping hard to get a hook on some wheel only to drop a few seconds later, all the while endangering everyone else in his way.  I say stay away, Lance.  But whatever.

It's hard to get excited about this ride with these dismal "summer" temps in the beginning of July.

Plus, when Team Brewhaha release their Bar Guide and Team Good Beer releases their Team Good Beer's Guide to Good Beer, perhaps I'll crack a smile.

I'm hearing of a ton of off-route and on-route parties getting into Des Moines.  I wouldn't be surprised to see the elusive "FREE BEER!" sign pop up in a few farmer's yards that day.  Keep a look out and never pass a sign that says "FREE BEER."
