Hello RAGBRAI riders,

I hope that you're enjoying the holidays and I wish you well.

The purpose of this post is to see if we can meet up in January to make plans for some social events, create a design to be used on jerseys, t-shirts, etc. for RAGBRAI and others social events regarding  RAGBRAI.

I know of a location in the Pilsen area that may be idea for a meetup location, perhaps someone else may have some ideas in mind.

So, lets enjoy the holidays, ride safely and meetup to discuss your ideas.

I have been on Ragbrai when it was cold, rain, heat, and I always say this year will be my last....then on the drive home I start to plan how I will do the next years ride. I am looking forward to 2012 and would like to train leading up to July with local people who would be signing up for Ragbrai. The more people you know ...the more enjoyable the ride....last summer I met Julie Hochstadter on the Forth of July ride and we talked about Chainlink . Would like to meet and train with other Chainlink riders

After winter commuting I will never complain about the heat. But here in Michigan, it never gets as hot as Iowa. And we do not have those hills either. I have not given up on her coming, but as for me, I am in.

It was hot this last ride?  I didn't notice.  

 

If I go this year, it'll be my 14th.  I'm hoping for way more hills and more sun.

I like Waymond's idea. It looks like I will be going by myself, as my wife can not get past the heat of last year. How about Bike The Drive?

Maybe we can create a better plan than last year for getting together before and during RAGBRAI. I'm really looking forward to meeting other RAGBRAI riders face to face.

Perhaps we can plan some group rides, get-togethers, etc. during the riding season. We can possibly meet up during the winter.
