I have a paid ticket to Out of Staters Charter Service. They are the best and I am doing the ride. But I now
have a volunteer driver carrying my stuff and providing SAG service for Suzy Schnauzer and me. So you can buy my ticket for the price I paid $305. This is full service - a ride for you and your bike from the last city to the first and baggage carried each day to the next campground.
Their website says they are almost full, so this may be your only way to use them.
They set up a beverage tent at their campground each evening and you will meet more people that way. Sometimes their campground is a smaller one than the Ragbrai general campground and your luggage is easier to find than the Ragbrai truck.
I highly recommend them.
63 days. That is all.
What's this I hear about dry counties?
Daily route maps are being released, beginning yesterday. Get yer hill climbing legs limbered up!
Actually, it flattens in the middle of the week, my hopes of a super hilly week were dashed. But, beats sitting in an office any day!
139 days. Boo-yah!
180 days.
I've been wishing for an all southern route since, well, the last time we were that way.
For those of you who've not been in southern Iowa, the hills do not stop, you cannot be fit enough.
Hills, heat, humidity, headwinds; I cannot wait!
200 days. Time to get your livers in proper order!
2016 Ragbrai registration is now open.
251 days.
It's time for all southern route. Hills that won't stop with heat and humidity; sounds like Nirvana.
Craig, you slay me!
And I think my liver has to rest just a bit before I resume intensive training...
