Full route with pass-through towns has just been released. http://ragbrai.com/data/2010/ragbrai-main-map-2010.php

Nice ride on Sunday, although the last time we rode through Quimby it was a huge non-event.

Century loop is Monday which is good as Tuesday is short, although I hear we may be on gravel. Hope it doesn't rain on Tuesday.

It was great talking with you earlier today. Please let me know as soon there is room in the second van or availability for the first van and I will drop off the payment that day. : )

I'll be doing RAGBRAI this year with my brave GF. We're looking into charter services, we'd really just like a means of transportation to Sioux City from Dubuque (planning on parking there for the week).

I understand the supplied baggage service can be hectic, so we might pony up for the full baggage handling. I don't want to spend over $300 for someone to pop a tent each night...

Hey Kelly, is there any room left in your shared van group? I heard from a littler birdie (Katie) that there might be a second vehicle. I'm thinking Ragbrai would be a good training ride for my Adirondacks/Quebec trip the second week of August. If there is room, I would be very likely to commit.

i have a million feet in plastic saved from a huge slip and slide i was planning this past summer...dishsoap with rain for water (on the same hill we do ghettosledding). sadly...it didnt rain on my 'parade' as predicted, so now i have the roll saved up.

I'm sorry I missed the events of last evening, I'd have really liked meeting y'all. The blasted work thing called me last night as I was getting a bike ready to ride over and that was that.

A naked beer slide? All ya need is a long piece of plastic sheeting, a gentle slope and some willing participants. A bottle of dishwashing soap helps with the suds and sliding.

These usually happen later in the afternoon and as this year is super short, super flat and therefore super dangerous for those that like cocktailing their way through Iowa, we could see quite a lot of these.

Occasionally in the smaller overnight towns like Algona where the evening's entertainment is fairly concentrated, a naked beer slide may pop up in a townie bar's floor. This, thankfully, does not happen all that often and I can't think of anything more disgusting. Kinda fun to watch though one does get sympathy pains thinking about slivers from wood flooring.
