8 is not so bad if everyone is riding everyday. I imagine the RV would just be for luggage and booze. Emphasis on the booze.

Kelly, how far in advance did you guys start looking for host families?

Hi Kelly,
How many people you have for your RV?
How many people do you think will be able to sleep in the RV?
8 is rather hard to fit in an RV.
Anyway, let me know if you have room and how many, I may have some others interested as well.
thx
Ron

Hey everyone~
Ragbrai is awesome and I make it my annual vacation every year. We are forming a team to rent an rv and stay with host families this year. Its very nice to camp in someone's yard with their hospitality and shower use. Looking to build a team of eight or so, all skill levels, to split the overall cost. It should be around $300 each for gas, rv, and driver. NO ONE has to take a driving day. Yipee. Email me if you are at all interested to have a support the whole way; to, along, and from RAGBRAI

Hi

I agree with Dan, I decided to go to RAGBRAI last year on a weeks notice. I was able to buy a wristband and find a ride in one day on the forums: http://ragbrai.com/index.php/forum/ragbrai-xxxviii/
Thanks
Mark

Also registered.... waiver has not been sent yet. I can't seem to find any envelopes! What good are all of these stamps with nothing to put them on?

Michael,

Check the forums on the official RAGBRAI website. There are always teams looking for new members.

You will definitely be able to join / form a team. To the extent there is a tricky part, registration is it.

My main question is should I register before or after joining a group? Would it be prudent to go ahead and hit the register button today?

As a follow-up to Ryan's comment, Ryan is looking to either join a RAGBRAI group or to get one organized, both for the fun of doing the ride and for the perceived advantage groups get with the RAGBRAI registration process.

Okay... I'm here. What's the deal with Ragbrai 2010?
