shay - consider craigslist. before the hilly hundred last year I bought a great (3 bag system) army style sleeping bag from a guy on craigslist.

it was brand new and around $50. I love it. REI and Moosejaw are great too.

Can't wait for the first camping trip of the season!!!

Note to self: It's time to think about buying a sleeping bag and tent so as not to mooch off the kindness of others this year.

I too am very excited. I graduate in May and have FREEDOM for the first time in years. Traillink.com has great paths to incorporate into where we all want to go. Oh the possibilites...

I'm excited for the upcoming year. I only worry that there will be the problem of last year where lots of people go on the first camping trip and then none after that.

What's new in bike camping this year (2011).  I'm interested in more new camping rides to get out of Chicago and Milwaukee.  Bong and Illinois Beach were big hits for me last year.

I was thinking about driving... cause I'm planning on running the hot chocolate... either the 5k or 15k.
