SWEET! Thanks, Suchandra! I bought one just in the nick of time before the deal expired.

I've been looking at tents online for the past few weeks and was really surprised at how much they could be. The Zephyr 2 sounded like a great deal, and I'm glad I didn't spend a lot of money in case my new-found enthusiasm for camping is short-lived. :P

My sleeping bag should arrive in a day or two, my tent in a couple of weeks. I'm ready!

If you check out steepandcheap.com , the Zephyr 2 has been popping up for $80 or so.  If you check it every so often, you should be able to buy it again in the next few days.

Ryan- Alps Mountaineering makes great lightweight affordable backpackig tents. I was looking at the Zephyr 2 recently. On ebay I found one cheap. http://cgi.ebay.com/Alps-Mountaineering-Zephyr-2-Person-Backpacking...

These are quite comparable to my tent which is a Mountain Hardware Lightpath 3.

Having the nylon bottom, with the no-see-um mesh makes these great for backpacking and bike touring.
