Forecast is for a bit of both rain and shine (isolated t-storms Fri/Sun, clear Sat). I'm headed there regardless of the weather. Need to declutter, too much urban detris in my head.
Headed to the National Park campgrounds early Friday afternoon. They don't take reservations. $15/night (cash only). The State Park is already full. They take reservations.
I intend to go hiking, enjoy the surf, hit the nature center, maybe putter around Chesterton a bit or go to the water park. Open to other suggestions. If the National campgrounds are full, there are nearby (cheap) motels.
Any takers?
For those who want to bike to the campgrounds, there's a link/route below. For others, South Shore train goes directly to the campground (Beverly stop). Regrettably, only folding bikes on South Shore. There's a convenience store near the grounds for eats, otherwise its byo or bike/hike to Chesterton/Michigan City (both nearby).
Relatively new to this group so I'm not sure how quickly Chainlink forwards posts. If you'd like to contact me directly, feel free to drop a line at free.ez.spirit@gmail.com
Peace,
David
