I'm riding out west Sunday, probably to Elgin on the IPP-Great-Western trail (metra back).

Interesting: what time you leaving? From where? I was thinking 10 a.m. from around my house, Belmont/Sheridan.

Just to warn you, parts will be on crushed gravel, so if you hate that stuff, this won't be the ride for you.
