I've only ridden the Busse Woods trail once on a weekend and found it was a bit busy, usually it is just weekday lunchtimes.

Living at t'other end of Schaumburg I often ride around the Poplar Creek forest preserve bike path, which I rather like - it even has little hills! And there are several dirt trails for horses, etc., that you can go around on a mountain bike.

I 'clip' the corner of the Busse Woods path if & when I cycle to work (like yesterday & today), from the E. Woodfield road underpass under I-53 to across from Portillos at S. New Wilke road.

Going home I usually stay on the north side of Golf road and then go up past IKEA on McConnor parkway, before picking up the paths north of E. State parkway.

Sometimes I'll ride around the cycle path in Busse Woods at lunchtime, but most days I just walk to the junction of I-53 & Higgins and back.

I live at the western end of Schaumburg, in the Sheffield Towne enclave of townhouses (completely surrounded by Hoffman Estates).

I actually don't mind ridin the loop through Busse. My house to and through Busse Woods and back is about 20 miles. If I time it right (to avoid the crowd) it's a nice ride.

Sorry. We're not hiring at this point. Actually, the location was one of the benefits of this job. There's nothing like riding through Busse in the morning!

The former 3Com building was designed by Frank Gehry...the guy that designed the Guggenheim in Bilbao Spain and the Pritzker Pavillion downtown Chicago (FYI....). Anyone care to ride Busse some time?

The proposed bridge isn't to get across I-53, it's to carry the bike path across Higgins and will be parallel to and alongside I-53 ...

I work at alfaQuest Technologies, we're in suite#290 at 2100 Golf road which is just t'other side of I-90 (sort of behind Portillos).

Is 3800 the odd-shaped building next to I-53?

Alan - I also work right across from Busse at Riverside Publishing (3800 N Golf). I'm able to commute to work by bike most days.. Where is it that you work?

I always wondered why there was a bridge at the Arlington Heights road end but not by route 53 - with the off-ramp and access to the frontage road and it's on-ramps this end strikes me as far more dangerous.

I work just across Golf road from the forest preserve and walk or ride the path most lunchtimes ...
