I was just checking the group before hitting the shower to go to the meeting (wed 1/29...7-9PM) and I noticed ya got the old ward map up. Check the 39th site (Ald Laurino) for a more current map. The y gerrymandered me out of the 45th just after last election. I fought for Arena as a bike centric Ald. and then ended up in Laurino's who had a bike co-ordinator or at least a person whose desk gathers Bike info. The 39th now goes west to Elston including the golf course back into Sauganash.

This puts a kink into trying to get Elston and Milwaukee into a co-ordinated bike scene but it will be interesting to see how these 2 relatively new aldermen...er alderwomen...er alderpersons work together on this issue.

The meeting will be held in my fathers and his parents neighborhood (they were just across the Kennedy but before the highway divvied up the 'hood. It was a working class German enclave that has been evolving but slowly. The Jeff Park Terminal is a great resource in some ways and since moving onto Peterson just east of Elston I have been stirring the pot some to get bikes included in the mix of trabsit options thru this corridor and neighborhood.

See Ya there if you can make it. If its too cold for riding the terminal is just north of the meeting by a couple 3 blocks so transit is pretty good.

Thanks for the heads up about the map Jeff. I'll get it fixed over the next few days.
