About this debate we seem to constantly get into about the Mass being this or that... It doesn't matter at all, it's all cock rock, as they say. We can whine, stomp our feet and yell as loud as we can but no matter how important we think our ideas on what the mass is it still just doesn't matter. Not a single one of us is more right or wrong than the other and we certainly don't have any more authority than the average rider. No matter how hard we try to influence the Mass with own our agenda it'll still keep on keepin' on. Whatever influence we have is fleeting.

But if we are going to continue to snipe at each other can we at least keep it in here, in "The Ring?"

I mean if you are proposing the prevention of censorship by limiting what people can say
you have to be joking..."

rik:
I did not use "prevention" and I was referring to a merely stated common "Netiquette" courtesy.
It sure looks like a mini Filibuster, when one person replies many times to their OWN post.
What ever happened to taking turns? some post many times in a row. These things just happen in the flow. It is not always nefarious.

I am in 100% agreement on that one

"gentlemen" are tooo unreliable; maybe more of "people's agreement".

Thanks to all those who bother to help out with "the heavy lifting"
Carry on.
H, you are engaged in slander.

In it's entirety, my only communication with Tony in a month:

Sent Mar 17
I've only got a second, so expect no reply for days, but gotta mention
1. Devon, there's specific anti-war reasons to do. We might as well do it on an NSCM, since its up our way anyway. I talked with Todd Allen briefly about it, sounded logical.
2. Be careful arguing with Howard. Its absolutely always pointless and painful.

#2 was specifically regarding the fact that H was pushing for Southbound, and I didn't want (my friend) Tony to be too hurt if we didn't go North. The fact that H eventually did lead us North, and distributed a map, after weeks of pushing for south and no maps makers, is profoundly twisted.

Doug, what you did Friday was assault. And on the Ghandi ride no less.

I will no longer attend CCM when either of you are present.

Expect no direct reply on the tirade I can assume will follow. With every post, all you two prove, is that you are enormous bullies.
So, I saw this discussion...

I'm not really sure what Doug did on Friday...I saw him a few times during the ride. THe only thing I wish he had done was mention going to Relax earlier so that we could have taken the ride that way.

Also, I don't believe that Howard led the ride north. Unless I'm experiencing delusions of grandeur, I'm rather certain that I was in front for a good part of the way. Howard was nearby and made some route suggestions, but it seemed like he wasn't there so much.

And all of you are rather pleasant offline...your internet personas really seem to clash here. And, as someone who isn't super involved in the critical mass movement (i'm actually really on the fence about the whole thing), I am rather intimidated to do critical mass things since there does seem to be such a tradition and pressure to do things "right."

Hope that makes sense. I won't be on the ride next month, so I'll have to see if I can make the May Mass.

Really? Don't do that. Well I'll see you on other rides at least... Naked.
Sadly I did not think of Relax until we where stopped.

You did a great job of being visible and leading the mass at a good pace, I applaud you for the effort and good direction of corkers.

As for internet personas... I doon't have one what you see is what you get which is both a good and a bad thing...
