The Chainlink

Southbound on Wells this morning I was miffed to see that Moody Bible Institute had cleared off the little plaza in front of their rec building by pushing all the snow out into the street completely blocking the southbound bike lane.  I called their main # (312) 329-4000 and they were very polite, patched me through to their maintenance dept. who promised to fix it up right away.  Anybody been by there since noon?  I'll be rolling by there again at around 6 or 7 after work and if it's still blocked I'm thinking a snarky sign might be fun to plant in the offending snow hill.  Something like "Jesus says 'Screw you, bikers!'"

My brother attended Moody. He's not much of a cyclist, so I don't know how accessible they make their campus for bicycling.

Are there many other cyclists at Moody?

How is Chicago for bicycling, in general?

p.s. Westboro might as well be saying, "Screw You" to Jesus. Considering he'd be an avid cyclist today

I swim there MWF mornings with the Chicago Blue Dolphins masters team, but we're on a break now. I'll get on their case about it on Monday. My guess is they've buried the bike rack, too.
I stopped last night to talk to the two young dudes at the front desk about it, they weren't impressed by my argument, nor inclined to use the campus phone to call in the groundskeeping dept. either.  Still there today, in fact, though it'll likely melt by this afternoon.  Looks like I missed my opportunity to post a sign, but anyone who wants to join me in a phone intervention can call their main campus # (312) 329-4000.
Chicago is great for biking, I love it and recommend it to everyone who moves here.

You Think its A Drug Problem? Me To.
Good call Dave. Did it work? I suspect it did but Maintenance does necessarily listen to non-Students n Staff.

Wow, that was so long ago! I've been taking Orleans instead of Wells lately, but I'll check it out tomorrow maybe and see how they're doing this year.
