Ride of Silence - May 15, 2024 - One day. One time. World wide.
Join the annual Ride of Silence, an organized annual cycling procession honoring those that have been injured or killed. The goal is to raise awareness that we are here, and to ask that we all share the road.
Save the date for the 2025 Chicago Ride Of Silence - May 21, 2025
Our route typically passes several Ghost Bikes, which are powerful memorials to fallen cyclists created by painting a bicycle white and placing it at or near the site of the cyclist’s death.
DATE: May 15, 2024 (always the 3rd Wednesday of May)
TIME: Gather at 6:00 pm
WHERE: Hundreds of locations world wide; Dickens Greenway Plaza in Lincoln Park, Chicago
One day. One Time. World wide.
Communities throughout Chicagoland participate in the Ride of Silence including: Arlington Heights, Bartlett, Elk Grove Village, Evanston, Joliet, Oak Park and Peoria.

Are you all ordering your ROS jersey??? &/or T-shirt?
As a reminder, jersey orders MUST be received by Monday, April 23.
T-shirt orders should be placed by the end of April to allow enough time to produce and ship (the t-shirt producer is a print on-demand company, so the shirts are customizable - can even order a sweatshirt if you prefer).

Seeking volunteers to help spread the word about ROS-Chicago --
* any journalists out there to write a press release?
* anyone to deliver flyers to bike shops, coffee shops, gyms, etc?
* night-of volunteers to act as ride marshalls?
* anyone to print a banner/signs to parade with us on our bikes?
* helpers to organize the after-gathering?

Please note -- this ROS t-shirt CAN be customized, so you could add text to read "I ride in honor of ______" if you wish.
You can also order a different style of shirt - including long-sleeve or sweatshirt or ladies' or kids' sizing (but the base price may go up).
