Yes, though I have to check to see whether this conflicts with a DIY century that I'm doing with a few friends. If no, then yes!

Any one up for riding the FVP on August 3rd, planning on keeping an average of 15-17. Taking the train down and the train back. Eric you will be getting my application shortly.

So I rode the 400K last weekend :) Started 1 hour late, finished 2.5 hours late. It was an experience! I found this 400K route to be at least twice as fun (and hard) as the 200K. Highlights include a tractor parade, riders on IronMan circuit, mosquito assault on Freedom Road, 5 mph uphills, 30+ mph downhills, flying down the switchbacks, Devil`s Lake, ice cream on the ferry, sunset view while climbing out of Merrimac, 1am burger & fries, sidewalk nap, cat eyes shining in distance, cows going to work at 4am in the milk farm and more hills all the way to Delavan. I hope we use this route next year too!

All you riders that use a GPS on the brevets, please send Lee and I feedback as to how well your GPS worked with the provided files. Be sure to include what make and model of GPS device you have. If you know how you could also send the track file for your ride, or upload it to a website like Garmin Connect or ridewithgps then send us the link. If you upload the file be sure to give it a descriptive name (e.g. GLR-400K-Jul22.2013).

Fellow randonneurs,

We had 10 riders start the 400k and 5 riders start the 600k rides yesterday. These were new routes and I'm hoping to add a GPS route elevation profile and total elevation gain to our route information pages. If any of you have GPS elevation data please let me know so that we can share it with everyone. Thanks!

Who`s going up to Delavan next week?

I sent in my registration for the 400K. Very excited about Devil`s Lake area. Looks like we pass right by the beach. Will take my swimming shorts with me just in case there is a possibility of a shower or a dip in the lake.

Yes we heard that too - I am in the New Glarus area for the weekend on a cycling weekend and we heard it on Madison NPR. With 3200 RUSA members, given that the Chicago area has 10M population, that should translate into about 100 local members. Not sure there are that many, certainly have never seen that many show up for a GLR ride. 

It was cool to be recognized as a group on a national program.
