Randonneuring Defined

Randonneuring: Randonneuring is long-distance unsupported endurance cycling. This style of riding is non-competitive in nature, and self-sufficiency is paramount. When riders participate in randonneuring events, they are part of a long tradition that goes back to the beginning of the sport of cycling in France and Italy. Friendly camaraderie, not competition, is the hallmark of randonneuring.

No to PayPal.
We are not set up with all those bell and whistles yet.
Mail me the check with application for advanced RSVP and save $5 on late fee.
Or come day of and pay the extra $5
Either way, two simple systems.
Thanks.

Brevet cards are not sent to you in advance.
Show up Friday night or early sat morning to pick up card and current cue sheet.
If you prefer registered, thank you, just tell us, you will be in a different pile of paper work. See you all soon on may 11 th.
Jim
PS: not sure were the emails to me are going in the GLR system. Had not had much time to look into that problem. Will do.

@spencewine:

No worries about getting your card. You sent in the form and your card will be waiting for you at Delavan.

Yes I recall the same thing as Adam Z. And I'll be there May 11 too for another 200k. See you there!

Last year, I believe that I did not get a response but just saw that my check cleared at some point.  I was able to check in fine Saturday morning in Delevan.

I sent my registration for the GLR Brevet series about a month ago and have yet to hear from them. I'm getting a bit antsy as the first brevet I signed up for is May 11th. I'm assuming I'd receive a brevet card in the mail or confirmation or something. Anyone know what protocol for this is? I've dropped them an email asking if I've been registered, but I'm curious what I should be expecting.

James,

I work in the Loop so if you are in that area I would be happy to meet for some conversation and I could talk about my 2007 PBP experience.

Eric
