The Chainlink

What are rides and-or brevets people signing up for this year? I finally sent off my registration for the GLR Brevet Series (http://www.glrrando.org/). I've signed up for the following:

May 11 - 200km

June 1 - 300km

July 27 - 600km

If anyone is riding on these dates for the GLR, perhaps we can coordinate on logstics to save time/money.

I'm also riding and camping in:

Le Tour De Shore (http://www.letourdeshore.com/) - leisurely ride

June 14-15 100 miles over 2 days

Hello,

I'm planning on the entire GLR series (this will be my 1st brevet series).

I'm still not sure if I'll make May 11'th, that will define what rides & dates for me.

Having never done a brevet before, cue sheet navigation is my biggest concern.

I have downloaded the published sheets & started modifying them to my liking.

Does anyone happen to know how common modifications to the published routes are?

Thanks,

Kelly

I've signed up for the 200K and 300K so far. I'm fairly certain I'll be doing the 400K. Whether or not I do the 600K is totally uncertain. And obviously, I'm doing the FVP next weekend.

Aside from that, I'll definitely be doing the North Shore century; it's a very fun and enjoyable ride.

I am planning on 200/200/300. Besides the May 11 start, I'm not sure of the timing. I'd also like to get to another group's ride. Maybe the Little Egypt Randonneurs?

I plan on doing RAIL North on June 22nd, about 272K (170 miles) from Moline to Chicago.

It sounds attractive, because the ride ends in downtown Chicago, and they can transport your bike to the starting point, which makes it a lot easier for folks without a car. Oh, and it is flat ;)

Here is their website: http://www.bicycleillinois.com/rail/north/north.htm

Quad Cities - 200K in Iowa, May 25th. My first brevet ever.
