A 68-year-old bicyclist died Friday morning, a day after he crashed into a vehicle on the Southwest Side in the city's Chinatown neighborhood.
Yuan Zeng, of the 2600 block of South Quinn Street, was pronounced dead at 6:34 a.m. at John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
According to preliminary reports, Zeng struck the passenger side of a vehicle shortly after 10 a.m. Thursday near Archer Avenue and 24th Street. The impact of the collision forced him onto the windshield and into the road, police said.
Zeng was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital where he died a day later.
No citations were written in connection with the crash.
