Free to good home-- broad-leafed Hostas-- must happen in May as they're sprouting.

I have a ton of Sieboldiana-style Hostas (large, somehwat puckery leaves like the leaves in the group avatar) that I started from seed in '03-- need to thin my Hosta patch. If anyone has an area to populate, the best time to do this is as they're sprouting but before the leaves open;
That way I can find them, and they'll have the best chance of looking like they've always been there in their new home the first year;  ideal for anyone who recently bought a home . . . get in touch!

Its a hostas takeover
I've also got some hostas that could use a new home. Mine are bi-color (green leaves with white edges), medium size (approx. 12-18" tall, 18-24" across, once they're established), with lavender colored flowers, similar to this variety. As with Howard's, they would be clumps of multiple plants.
Do you still have some Hostas available? I have a friend who's looking for some to fill a blank spot in her side yard.
I still have some to share. Not sure if you're asking me, Howard or both.

Thanks to both of you for responding. I'll check with my friend to see if she wants them. She did say yesterday that some we transplanted last fall are starting to come up (she thought they wouldn't), so perhaps she's changed her mind about wanting more. But I'll find out and let you know. Thanks again!

I'm guessing they will be up in about 2-3 weeks at the rate we're going-- can dig them up then.
I'm near 24th and Western, Anne is in Beverly.
Mine have just appeared since Sunday's rain. I have some of two varieties that I could spare - solid green narrow pointed leaves (medium sized plant) and green leaves with white edges. I want to dig mine up within the next few weeks. I'm not far from 95th & Western.

Mine are all coming up. This is good time to dig, for anyone who wants some.

If you still have extra Hosta this year, I would love some. This is our first season at a new house and are trying to get some perennials established. I live near Cullerton and Leavitt, so I can just walk to where you are at Western and 24th, H3N3 (Sorry I've never caught your name on here!) Please let me know...thanks so much!
