Thanks for the great frame repair job on my cracked bike. The Puch rides like a dream again!

Vanya here,

They call me the shop cat, might as well call me inmate. Another busy day today, not much attention for little old me. I got brushed, that was nice, and I spent some time outside on the sidewalk, not too bad.
There is a new work stand, I guess they got a deal off of Craigslist for it. They must be happy, they kept pointing at it and fawning over it, again, less attention for the hostage.
I'd slit their throats, but who'd feed me then?

Help me,

Vanya

I did wonder what changed the course, and is doesn't really surprise me all that much, there is a gravitational pull . . . The nature of critical mass, like herding cats.

We were on the route for critical mass last night, but alas they did not come by . . . Trust me friends I waited for awhile, but I know how those things go. I had a happy Friday sign ready to wave as well. In the interim we had a couple of good conversations and I built a wheel I've been meaning to work on for six months or so, not too bad in the end.

Hmm slobbery Bullmastiff might be nice . . . . We were going to go for a dog and cat combo.

owen, glad to hear that all is running smoothly. sending you good vibes from the west side. it is too late to propose a slobbery bullmastiff as shop mascot?

Your mother saw several up-for-adoption candidates for BCC's shop cat last night at Petsmart in the 'burbs.

On t'other hand, you need one that isn't going to always be trying to escape out of the front door: how about Smokey?

I have been neglecting posting for long enough . . .
Business is clicking over around here. We have steady repair work, and are selling a few bikes here and there. It's pretty good overall. Folks are happy to have a neighborhood shop, and not too many are scoffing at our bike prices (the closest competition is Target on Damen.) We have a whole host of vendors now, we just got Merry Sales, and will hopefully get the nod from Phil Wood when the paperwork gets to them. And with any luck will be making space in the blue city family for a cat in the not too distant future. Afterall, we all need judgmental supervision.

Cheers
