How about we just eat sensibly, ride bikes for transportation, work for livable communities, and enjoy life? No charge for that. People in other parts of the world do it with good results.

Jeff, some of the cyclists here race and there's a chance that some of them are already eating sensibly and would like to improve their performance. If they want to get VO2max testing or figure out their LT or something else, there really isn't anything wrong with it. If you're going to disparage these cyclists who quite possibly spend as much or more times on the streets as you do, because they also like to race their bikes then I think you may discover that your coalitions for bike friendly streets and livable communities are a lot smaller because you've excluded quite a few allies. What next, are you going to start ragging on people that ride mountain bikes on trails or anyone that expresses interest in getting a fancy bike that isn't strictly utilitarian?
I think we should ban all racers from training any further. This way I stand a chance
Personal trainers are common in all sports, cycling is one where a good coach/plan can make a HUGE difference in performance.
Is Marketplace a better category for a post like this?
Can't speak for Jeff, only for myself...
I am very appreciative of all types of riders. If you are a racer who feels that this will make a difference for you, go ahead and use the service.
But what got a good laugh out of me is a statement like this: "Our goal is to help shape a healthier community". I call B.S. You don't shape a healthier community by catering to a small subset of what is already a small sport. You shape a healthier community by following the recommendations that Jeff gave.

It is probably a better category yes, but all posts show up on the front page regardless of category anyway so effectively it doesn't really matter (unless I'm missing something which is often the case).

I would try this out just to simply know how to better my commute and find the best fit physiologically for my body.
Thank you for your interest Marco! Please contact us at smauk@niu.edu for information about options available to you.
Regarding the other posts on this discussion, Exercising Nutritionally is a company ran by a retired professor who performs independent, large FDA funded preventive medicine research. With this funded research we have the equipment to perform advanced fitness testing only university and olympic settings have to offer. Exercising Nutritionally offers all these tests at a fraction of the price compared to both these settings, simply for the reason all the testing performed by graduate students to obtain clinical hours under the supervision of a retried PhD exercise physiologist.
I look forward to hearing from more of you!

Well thank you Jeffrey for solving the epidemic of obesity! I guess we can tell the thousands of exercise physiologists to cease their research on exercise and chronic disease and just write down Jeffreys recommendations and hand it out to all.
I am not trying to be rude at all, but neither of you are honoring the fact that people have been saying that for last 20 years and it is obviously working. Exercising Nutritionally has chosen to be proactive in helping fight obesity as well as help the elite train smarter, all at a fraction of a price. We are not selling a weight loss pill or exercise fad, we are selling a lifestyle change under the supervision of passionate professionals with consultation based on scientific research.
