Winter Warriors/Cold Cyclists/Everyday Riders: It's Winter...

It's Winter...about once a week I consider washing my bicycle. How often do the Winter riders wipe down/wash the bikes that keep us going year round?

The winter/rain bike only gets washed a couple times per year, usually at the same time as a significant repair or maintenance effort - like changing to studs for the winter and changing back to rain tires for the spring/summer/fall; or more recently replacing a crankset.

I don't set cleaning schedules, I just do it when I'm already doing other stuff. That being said my winter bike is pretty rusty...

Depends on how sloppy it has been.  I don't wash it often, but at least every couple of weeks I try to clean up cables, bottom bracket, chain, wheels.

Shake/bounce off the slush outside, a quick wipe down on the rims and brakes, and I try and keep the drivetrain lubed up and gunk free. Glad to have inside parking.
