So I see that if you do not shovel the snow in front of your home you can be fined up to $500. what about the city's property like, bridges, walk ways in front of empty lots owned by the city, what about riding to work in the streets taking up the lane cause the city doesn't plow curb to curb so bike lane doesn't get cleaned. what about bike lanes where the markings a worn off completely anyway? I can go on and on , whats your rant?

If the city can fine a homeowner $500 for an unshoveled parkway violation, can a homeowner then ask for a deduction on their real estate taxes if the city doesn't do it's job (as George mentioned above). Also, after most snowstorms, pedestrian walkways, street corner areas and bus shelters are filled with snow and ice (especially away from the downtown area). The city can't only prioritize on clearing the snow and ice for vehicular traffic, it has to also reasonably balance out the work for pedestrians and cyclists.
