The Chainlink

Hi,
I've been meaning to switch out my double (shimano 105) with a triple for a while now but never got around to it. I never intended to set my bike up with a double considering i tour--and no, not touring around chicago ; )
anyway, if anyone wants to convert their triple (preferably shimano 105 equivalent at least) to a double, i'm your gal! as far as i know, i'll also need to switch out my derailer and shifters... i think. if anyone has any advice or could offer some help, i would greatly appreciate it as well.
thanks!

i'm interested. i'll PM you to figure out some details.
I have a Dura Ace triple...which I'm not looking to trade. But I thought I'd write and suggest that you make sure you want a triple before you go through the trouble to get one.

The reason I say is that a rear derailleur for triple is also different. A triple takes a "long cage" rear derailleur while a double take a short reach. So if you change out the front, I believe technically you need to change out the back too.

I'm in the process of upgrading my bike to an ultegra gruppo. Which means that I'll have my 105 triple stuff left over. I don't really need a double but I can let you have my shifters, rear derailleur and crankset at a really great price. Let me know if you're interested.

I am selling a 2006 10 speed Ultegra groupo w/ triple crankset with less than 300 miles for $450 if anyone is interested email me offline.
