Who did you run into that you know today on your ride? Today was unlike any other day, especially in nice weather.

Aaron at Belmont and Clark and then my brother's ex girlfriend/yoga instructor at Schubert and Clark.

Riding on Lincoln behind Rich and saw Julie and she yelled at Rich. He didn't hear her, and I was sad she didn't yell at me :(

Melanie are you back at it?  Free from pain and discomfort?  I believe I spied you Wednesday on your P.M. commute.  You were Lincoln Northbound at Roscoe.

Indeed, I am back in the saddle- a bit sore, slow, tired and worse for wear, but I can at least ride. 3-4 weeks of rest, ice packs and heat, and the pain is almost, not quite, but almost gone. It probably helps that my commuter bike has a gigantic padded seat and springs. I probably should have rested a bit more, but I couldn't deal with driving or the train any longer :)

Dont' know her name but I frequently see her at the intersection of Randolph and Desplaines around 8am.  I say "good morning" and wait with her for the green light.  :)

I passed and was passed by a lot of cyclists on LFP this morning and every morning, I just don't know who they are.

I saw Katie & Aaron NB on Southport near Webster last night about 6:00 pm. I was in a car though, didn't have time to yell, and am unsure if this is a violation of the terms of the thread.

No violation - you should have honked though and yelled for us to get out of the way! I always pretend to be a crazy motorist when driving past people I know on bikes....I feel its endearing and it usually gets me a middle finger till they realize who it is and see me smiling like a lil girl

I saw Andrew M this morning (who I met at The Chainlink table at Bike The Drive), and not 3 minutes later saw Serge.  Weird but cool.

Saw Aaron on Tuesday but didn't have time to run out and say hi.

Saturday saw the lovely John Ladner on Lincoln and also didn't have time to run out and say hi.

We need walkie talkies or something.

Today I almost smooshed Gene Tenner and his pink flamingo as they rode by just as I stepped off the North Avenue pedestrian bridge!

I saw Ron Smith on a recumbent. He likes the bike but is unsure whether he's willing to make the full ZZ-Top beard commitment which is apparently required of all male (and some female) recumbent riders.

Ten minutes later I saw Steven Lane doing intervals on Milwaukee near Franklin, no doubt in preparation for this weekend's WNBR.

I also saw a WHOLE BUNCH of people I don't know. Who are all these people and where did they come from?

This week seems to have brought out a swarm of riders.  Its great to see so many on bikes, but 10 of them made my heart jump when they suddenly pulled out in front of traffic or nearly ran into me salmoning/turning in front of me as I rode up Milwaukee last night.

I have not seen anyone I know riding in quite some time :(
